Featured Shop: DL Designer Crafts
This week we sat down with Dawn from DL Designer Crafts and got to know her and her shop.
Can you tell us a little about yourself and what you create?
I am a nurse with a husband and 2 boys who are heavily into hockey and baseball. We travel and camp during the summers on the off season of hockey.
I started crafting all types of items last winter when we had about 60 days of consecutive below zero days in MN. Crafting helped me get through those long days until spring came. I am very much a warm weather person.

How did you come about wanting to open a shop on Etsy?
I crafted so much, I needed a way to sell my items. There were so many barriers to selling at craft shows such as hockey/basketball tournaments and games along with the expectations of my job as a floor nurse to work every other weekend. I can sell my items from the comfort of my own home.
What do you like to do in your free time when you're not working on your Etsy shop?
In my free time when we are not involved in sporting events we are camping hiking, skiing, canoeing, biking and traveling.
What is your most popular product you sell?
My most popular products are most likely my cinderella party favor bags, which I am currently out of stock.
How long have you been practicing your craft or art?
I have been crafting all my life but I have begun to attempt to create things, such as soap, to assist our family with becoming more self sufficient and less reliant on chemically products that were mass produced and unhealthy.
Where can we find your Merchandise online?

Eucalyptis Mint Shea Butter Soap from DL Designer Crafts
I sure wish computers had a smell-o-vision! This beautiful bar of soap is brought to you by DL Designer Crafts.
This is a beautiful bar of soap that incorporates ingredients that not only moisturize your skin, but also additives (apricot seeds) that exfoliate those rough, dry areas. The scent of the bar is a natural aroma-therapeutic stress reliever and a perfect way to start or end your day.
All of my soaps are handcrafted and may not look exactly like one another, though my recipes are the same. I craft my bars of soap using the melt and pour method of soap making which tends to be the better option for small children in the home. For special orders or quantities, please contact me.
