Can you tell us a little about yourself and what you create?
Hi, I'm Lisa. I am a mother of three ( Prince, Prince, and Princess Lilly) and a wife to Greg. We moved to Toronto, Ontario in 2011 from California (lived there my whole life). Oh how I miss the sunshine! I always knew crafting was my go-to hobby. When my princess was born in 2010, I decided to try my hand at baby headbands. Yup, she was a bald baby. Before I knew it, I had crafted myself into a dilemma; too many items for just my little girl. I make hair accessories for women and girls who want a one of a mind handmade treasure.
It was this time last year that I quit my job to pursue the idea of opening my shop La Vie De Lily on Etsy. My main motivator was to spend all the time I can with my husband and children.
What do you like to do in your free time when you're not working on your Etsy shop?
I have in recent years spawned a love for up-cycling furniture, creating one of a kind pieces. It can sometimes call for all hands on deck, making wonderful souvenirs with the family.
What is your most popular product you sell?
That would be a tie between my sweet shoppe lollipop/ candy hair clips and the shabby chick flower with lace and burlap. I find that brides-to-be love the simplicity of a soft white flower against the texture of lace and burlap. The sweet shop candies are a whimsical hair treat for any age.
How long have you been practicing your craft or art?
I have been creating items all of my life. It was just recently in 2010 that I really found my niche with hair accessories.
